Brits at the Oscars

– 25th February 2019 –

It’s the day after the Oscars and we’re so happy for last night’s winners! Amongst the wonderful nominees of the 91st Academy Awards were some brilliant British talent that we are proud to have represent the UK over in LA: from costume designer Sandy Powell–up for two nominations, Rachel Weisz for Actress in a Supporting Role, Richard E. Grant for Actor in a Supporting Role and producer Graham King for Best Picture. However the night belonged to Olivia Coleman who won her first Oscar for Actress in a Leading Role in The Favourite(and we think her speech should win an award too), Mark Ronson for his win for Original Song ‘Shallow’ in A Star is Born (which Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga also performed together last night), Paul Hunter and Tristan Myles who won the award for Best Visual Effects in First Man and the amazing Bohemian Rhapsody, shot at London’s Shepperton studios, which won four Oscars including Rami Malek for Best Actor. With Seesaw Media’s Head Office in London, it’s wonderful to see British filmmakers and talent make their mark on the Academy and we look forward to continue working with the cast and crew of these amazing films.
